Her dual role as a clinician and researcher positions her well to identify the clinical significance of genetic discoveries.
Frank Slack, Ph.D.
Dr. Slack is a Professor at Yale University in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. He is one of the pioneers in the miRNA field, having discovered let-7, one of the first miRNAs shown to regulate human oncogenes. Dr. Slack is of international renown, and lectures frequently around the globe on miRNAs.
The combination of our research in the mechanisms of microRNA gene interactions combined with clinical utility is both unique and essential to better understand cancer genetics and help to personalize prevention and patient management.
