Martin Verhoef, President and CEO, Mira Dx
Martin Verhoef, President and CEO, has 25 years experience in the life sciences research products and molecular diagnostics industry. He joined Mira Dx® in December 2010 from his prior position as President and CEO of PrimeraDx, an emerging Molecular Diagnostics company. In his three years at PrimeraDx Mr. Verhoef successfully developed and built a novel platform for quantitative multiplexed analysis of nucleic acids, put in place an experienced team and raised significant funds. Prior to PrimeraDx he was President of Ciphergen Biosystems, now known as Vermillion. Mr. Verhoef has also held various management positions at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent in their Life Sciences and Genomics programs. Mr. Verhoef holds a BS degree in Chemistry from the van ‘t Hoff Institute in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Mary Lake Polan, M.D., Ph.D., MPH
Dr. Polan is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Columbia University School of Medicine as well as Chair Emeritus of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and has served on numerous medical and health committees including the Council of the Institute of Medicine, the National Institute of Health, The American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA).
Andrew J. Weidhaas, Partner, Goodwin Procter, LLP
A. J. Weidhaas is chair of Goodwin Procter’s Business Law Department in New York and a member of its Private Equity Group. He specializes in private equity investments, including minority and majority investments, leveraged buyouts and leveraged recapitalizations, going private transactions and private investments in public companies. Mr. Weidhaas’ experience ranges from the representation of early stage growth companies and buyouts in the micro cap space through later stage LBO's and the representation of Fortune 50 financial institutions in strategic investments, merchant banking activities and private M&A.
